Donations
Cal-ESAR is an all volunteer, nonprofit organization that is prepared to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Most of the cost of the preparation and response is covered by the members themselves, but we do need assistance with some equipment purchases and training. This includes the wear and tear on team vehicles, rescue and communications equipment, facilities and various supplies. No charges are ever made to subjects or local governments. All of our funding comes from membership dues, grants and donations from people like you or your organization.
How You or Your Organization Can Help
We need your donations of money, supplies or equipment to maintain our ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergencies throughout the state. Many folks don't realize they may have surplus items we can use. Corporations may not be aware how far a small donation or grant can go in supporting our efforts. Please review this page and see if there is a way you or your organization can help us with donations of money, equipment or supplies. We are listed as a 501(c3) nonprofit organization with the Internal Revenue Service and thus all donations are tax deductible.
Wish List
This list shows many items such as consumable that we can always use or things we wish we had to improve our capability.
Please note: We need good, useable supplies and equipment. In some cases we are offered equipment which for one reason or another does not fit our needs and may in fact become a burden on the team. We truly appreciate everyone who wishes to support us. In some cases we may not have the need or are concerned about maintenance issues. We hope you understand in the event we cannot use your donated item. However, if you have something you think we can use, please don't hesitate to give us a call. We should be able to tell you right away if we can use it.
