California Explorer Search and Rescue
Cal-ESAR is an active volunteer search and rescue team that responds to searches and other emergencies throughout the State of California. We respond at the request of the State Office of Emergency Services. Cal-ESAR operates as a non-profit organization and is open to motivated young people ages 15 and up (14 and in high school) as well as adults.

After successfully completing the entire summer training program, and after obtaining CPR and first-aid certifications, you will meet the team's minimum requrements to be deployed on real bay area searches.
Cost of Training:
$200 (1 weekend at Camp Cutter and 5 days at Yosemite)
Limited to the first 20 registrants. No late registrations accepted.
Please register early to assist us with planning.
$25 deposit required with registration, full fee due by june 18th. Fees are non-refundable and include meals for the week as well as training supplies. You will need to supply your own basic camping and hiking gear.

based in the San Francisco Bay Area that responds to searches and other
emergencies throughout the State of California. We operate as a non-profit, youth organization
open to young, motivated people ages 15 and up (14 and in High School)
and adults.
